On May 13, Xiaomi will launch a new pair of truly wireless earphones in China. Interestingly, the company is launching two new products on the same day in India. It has announced the launch of the Redmi Note 10S and Redmi watch in the country on May 13. Xiaomi Noise Cancelling Headphones Pro will be launched on the mentioned date, according to posts on Chinese social media platform Weibo. Additionally, the posts confirm that these TWS will include Noise Cancellation. It is still unknown whether Xiaomi will launch these earbuds in India. The company entered the category last year and has since launched a number of TWS in the country.
There is little information available about the upcoming Xiaomi TWS’s specifications. The posts reveal the name and also hint the fact that they will be equipped with noise cancelling technology. However, only time will tell whether Xiaomi opts for Active Noise Cancellation or for more conventional Environmental Noise Cancellation. It is possible that Xiaomi will bring the Xiaomi Noise Cancelling Headphones Pro to a global audience as well.
Additionally, the posts provided a glimpse of the earbuds’ potential design. It depicts both the earbuds and the charging case on the exterior. They come packaged in an oval charging case, and the hinge appears to bear a Xiaomi logo. The earbuds have a short stalk and angled ear tips.

Last year was great for the TWS segment. As the entire country went into a lockdown and home entertainment was the only option left, the market was flooded with truly wireless earphones in all shapes, sizes and price points. This year has been relatively slow in comparison to previous years. This year, only a few smartphone manufacturers launched earbuds in India.
In comparison, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus all entered the TWS category in 2020 with their respective offerings. Realme, meanwhile, had expanded its portfolio of Realme Buds, some of which featured Active Noise Cancellation and were priced competitively.
