The Xbox Series X back panel has been the subject of heightened speculation since as part of its CES showcase, AMD used a fake render of the forthcoming console.

Initially emerging on Twitter and confirmed by Thurrott’s Brad Sams as real, the leaked Xbox Series X photos reveals, two USB-A ports on the rear, one at the front, a single High-Definition Multimedia Interface-out, an optical audio port, Ethernet, & a power-in.

According to Sams, one more obscure rectangular port is for diagnostics. The package is labelled with a serial number and labelled as “Placeholder of the Xbox Product Name.”

While considering the authenticity of the leaked Xbox Series X photos, they should not be taken as representative of a finished product which will not be released for nearly a year. Microsoft can also alter the design, or never planned prototype versions to be identical to retail units, more than possible.

I like the look of the series x. It's different. It's unique. It's bold. It's not another flat black box. It is now… https://t.co/1CWwrZWs2i
