Smartphone manufacturers appear to have started to take gaming phones seriously. Four gaming devices have already been released in quick succession, including the Asus ROG Phone 5, Black Shark 4, Lenovo Legion Duel 2, and Nubia Red Magic 6. Redmi, which is hot on its tail, is preparing to release a new gaming device.

Redmi’s new gaming device will be part of the K40 lineup. According to reports, this device will be known as the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. The brand teased the device in a poster, exposing the design elements. We already know some of the device’s specifications thanks to other leaks.

 

Redmi Gaming Phone Specs and Features

-A Redmi Phone with model number M2104K10C was recently spotted on the 3C website. This is rumoured to be Redmi’s upcoming gaming smartphone. According to rumours, this device will also be released in India. The Indian version of this gaming phone, model number M2104K10I, is now available on the BIS website. The leak also reveals that this device will be released in India under the Poco moniker.

A similar-looking triple camera module with LED lights around it that lights up whenever the gaming slider is toggled becomes visible. The gaming slider also brings up the shoulder keys, which we assume are mappable based on personal preferences.

Sina, a Chinese publication, has also revealed some of the Redmi Gaming Phone’s key specifications. According to the report, the smartphone will have a Samsung E4 luminous AMOLED panel with a 144Hz high refresh rate. This display technology has been seen on the Xiaomi Mi 11, Redmi K40, and Mi 11 Ultra.

An earlier rumour suggested that the Redmi gaming phone would have a quad-camera setup with a 64-megapixel Sony IMX 686 primary shooter. The recently leaked image, on the other hand, shows a triple rear camera setup similar to the Redmi K40 series. We’ve also heard that the smartphone will include 67W fast charging support. However, there is currently no information on the battery capacity.

According to what we’ve heard, the Redmi gaming phone will be targeted at smartphone gamers on a tight budget. This smartphone will compete with recently released flagships such as the Asus ROG 5 and the Nubia Red Magic 6. For quite some time, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has catered to the affordable smartphone segment. It will be interesting to see how it compares to its current competitors now that it has entered the smartphone gaming spot.

The Redmi gaming phone is expected to be released on April 27. Redmi released a smartphone teaser that revealed the same. According to rumours, the smartphone will also be released in India under the Poco moniker. As of now, the Indian launch date is unknown.

According to rumours, the Redmi Gaming Phone will be significantly less expensive than its competitors. In terms of pricing, the report suggests that the phone could cost around Rs 23000. The Redmi Gaming Phone will be a difficult nut to crack at this price.
