Restarting an Apple Watch
Ensure that your Apple Watch is not charging because restarts won’t function while it is.
The side button (oval-shaped) next to the Digital Crown should be pressed and held.
Use the slider to deactivate it when the power off screen appears.
Tap the power button in the upper right corner of watchOS 9, then move the slider.
To finish the process, press and hold the side button once more.
How to force an Apple Watch restart
A force restart can be required if your wearable isn’t responding or functioning normally. Make sure it’s off the charger before attempting a force restart, just like a normal restart.
For at least 10 seconds, press and hold the side button and the Digital Crown.
