Samsung recently revealed that the company’s upcoming Unpacked event would begin on January 17 and that it will likely feature the unveiling of the new Galaxy S24 series. In line with tradition, the business has made “reservations” available for preorders of its upcoming Galaxy gadget, which come with a $50 credit upon providing your name and email address on the Samsung website.

However, there are a few things to be aware of: When the gadgets are unveiled on January 17th, you will need to use the same email address to place your preorder first. You’ll need to complete the transaction after that, so be sure to have your credit card on hand.

The $50 credit is likewise not available for use after your purchase. Rather, the credit is only valid when you use it to pay for the reserved gadget; it cannot be used to defray the cost of the phone. Rather, the credit can solely be applied to other qualifying items found in Samsung’s online store. Samsung has not yet made clear exactly what those are, but in the past, customers have been able to apply the credit on Samsung wireless earphones and smartphone cases, among other accessories.

What novel features the S24 range will offer is unknown. But according to reports, it will use the latest on-device AI-accelerating Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPUs. In contrast, the S24 Ultra may receive an enhanced 50MP 5x telephoto camera, 4K 120fps recording, and a titanium chassis that resembles the iPhone 15 Pro.

Join us on Samsung’s livestream on the 17th at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET to see whether those rumors are real for yourself. The firm will finally be revealing the information at that time.
