Other significant US vendors have not yet followed Newegg by reducing the cost of Ryzen AM5 CPUs (such as BestBuy or Amazon). While this may still be a decent value, MicroCenter only allows in-store pickup of its complimentary 32GB DDR5 RAM kit for all Ryzen 7000 customers.
Prices on Newegg are significantly less than the original MSRP. While the 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X costs $473.99 instead of $549, the 16-core Ryzen 9 7950X is now 17% less expensive at $573.99. A Ryzen 7 7700X with 8 cores and new pricing of $348.99, or a $51 savings or 12% cheaper price, should also be of interest to gamers. With a 6-core Ryzen 7 7600, the new entry price for the AM5 platform is $248.99, a 16% savings.
Although AMD’s four processors were all introduced less than two months ago, this doesn’t seem to be an official and ongoing price reduction. The flagship model now costs up to €200 cheaper at European retailers, however, similar price reductions are already noticeable there as well.
