HTC Will Launch Its 'Viverse' 5G Phone On June 28th, 2022

At the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, HTC said that it is working on a variety of one-of-a-kind smartphones that would be able to join Viverse, the animated virtual world that the firm has created. The launch was supposed to take place in April, but because of the epidemic, the company was forced to push it back.

The company made the announcement today that it would be holding an event called “Log In Future” on June 28th, during which it will reveal a 5G phone that is connected with HTC’s VIVERSE, which is the company’s platform for the metaverse.

Although we do not know very much about the phone as of now, a handset with the model number 2QBK200 was approved by the Dutch certification body Telefication in the month of May. The NCC granted approval for a wireless charger manufactured by HTC with the product number UW01 in the month of April, which suggests that the phone may support wireless charging.

The company has previously unveiled the Exodus line of native blockchain cell phones for consumers to purchase. According to the company, it has formed partnerships with significant global telecom corporations such as China Mobile, Etisalt, Hutch Group, and Zai Group, in addition to Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile, and FarEasTone, in order to establish Viverse, an animated virtual world, and work on the development of new handsets.
