In a brand-new teaser, Motorola previewed the next Razr, showcasing the device’s chin-less style. The third-generation gadget’s rounded edges, dual camera, revamped hinge, and what appears to be a bigger outside display are all briefly shown in the teaser, which Motorola released to its Weibo account. This version of the device matches up with a leaked version we saw in May.

The Motorola logo is stamped on one of the trailer’s borders and on the rear of the gadget, but other from that, not much more can be seen. At a physical event, Chen Jin, the general manager of the Lenovo Business Group in China, provided a different perspective on the gadget (and with much better lighting). In order to show how the future Razr would seem when it is opened and folded shut, he shared the photographs on Weibo. This verified the accuracy of earlier reports.

Only that the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 CPU would be used has been officially verified by Motorola. It will boast a 6.7-inch FHD Plus OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to previous reports. Additionally, it is said to include an internal 13MP selfie camera and an external 50MP f/1.8 primary camera and 32MP ultrawide camera.

However, the fresh renders of the next smartphone, which have a boxier appearance, clearly imply that Motorola is adopting some design influences from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, a foldable that earned better reviews than Motorola’s first two efforts to update the iconic Razr. Both gadgets, as we highlighted in our assessments, were pricey (costing well over $1,000), and each had a unique set of drawbacks, such as a bumpy screen or a poor camera. However, Motorola’s second Razr reboot was superior to its first, so we can only hope that Motorola will improve upon its third attempt by considering customer input.

Motorola has yet to provide any details on the device’s cost or release date. The following-generation Razr will debut in China in late July or early August, but the rest of the globe won’t get it until later, according to trusted leaker Evan Blass in May.
