On August 10, Samsung Unpacked will be live-streamed, probably revealing the brand’s upcoming range of foldable phones.
In 2019, Samsung will release the Galaxy Z Fold, the first of its fourth generation of foldable phones.
Both the anticipated Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 might expose capabilities that we’ll see in foldable phones from other companies in the upcoming year, such as reported products from Motorola and Google. This is because the foldable phone market is expanding.
New foldable phones for the Galaxy brand are most likely to be announced at Samsung’s Unpacked presentation in August 2022, which broadcasts Wednesday morning. The Galaxy Z Fold and the Z Flip are expected to be featured during the event, which is set to begin at 6 a.m. PT (9 a.m. ET, 2 p.m. BST). The $1,800 Z Fold 3 and the $1,000 Z Flip 3 would be replaced by the speculated Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, respectively. Samsung’s own promotional artwork for the event, which shows a Z Flip phone, appears to suggest that new foldable phones are on the way.
As it continues to work with Google on the most recent version of the Wear OS operating system, Samsung may possibly showcase the future of its Galaxy Watch line in addition to folding phones. The Galaxy Watch 4 from last year runs this version of Wear OS, which will ultimately include capabilities from Google’s Fit
